House CHORD

I designed House CHORD (2010) for a fictive conductor during an internship at an architects office. The house is designed for a single person and has two discrete suites; one for a butler and one for a guest.

The name and shape of the house refers to the profession of its owner. The elongated form refers to a batonand and its fours parts refer to the
four-four time rythm. The four parts are:
1. rooms of the property owner
2. suites
3. pool
4. landing stage at the adjacent river in the very back of the property (not in the pictures)
